Do you have any interesting news?

Blonder Tongue’s latest array of EdgeQAM, Encoder and CATV product offerings will cover more ground at this year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo with the ability to provide HD without set-top boxes, multiple program audio services, and CATV/Pro:Idiom™ signal testing.

Need to deliver HD services to Universities without using settop boxes?

The EQAM-420B with EAS is Blonder Tongue’s latest generation EdgeQAM designed to allow cable operators to aggregate multiple standard and high definition programs received in IP format (IGMPv3 supported) and deliver them over a standard coaxial distribution network.  This new version EdgeQAM supports network-based SCTE-18 standard compliant Emergency Alert System (EAS) to override existing channel line-up and display alert messages.  The unit is available with Clear or Pro:Idiom™ encrypted QAM outputs.

Need to provide Audio Descriptor Services?

The SDE-6S-ASI is the company’s latest multi-program SD encoder/multiplexer that accepts up to six standard definition programs in SD-SDI and NTSC formats.  The MPEG- 2 encoded outputs are multiplexed into a Multi Program Transport Stream
(MPTS) and simultaneously provides both ASI and IP outputs. This new generation SD encoder is designed for SCTE 30/35 ad insertion messaging, triggered by either audio cue tones or a contact closure.  Another key feature of this product is providing additional audio services such as SAP (Secondary Audio Program) and Audio Descriptor Services for blind and visually impaired subscribers.

Keep losing your Pro:Idiom™ key?

The BTPRO-1000 is a versatile CATV test meter for measuring both digital and analog CATV and Broadcast TV signals. A optional Pro:Idiom™ Key Recovery feature is available for Hospitality applications that employ Pro:Idiom™ television sets. The option consists of a built-in frequency agile QAM modulator that connects directly to an affected Pro:Idiom™ TV to provide ne encryption key information. Robust and easy to use, BTPRO-1000 provides hours of operating time from its high capacity battery. The meter comes with a soft carrying case, AC main and automotive chargers.
